Baseball Organization Permitted To Use Veterans Park

The park was officially dedicated in May but because of problems with the quality of the grass, the fields have yet to be used.

The township Board of Supervisors on Wednesday unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding allowing the baseball organization to use the fields for up to two years or until the township deems the work is complete by the contractor.

In the event the township has not resolved differences with the contractor in two years, the relationship (between the township and CRNAA) will be discussed, township solicitor Jeffrey Garton said.

Kevin O’Shea of CRNAA thanked the township for their work to accommodate the association despite the issues with the park’s contractor.  The contractor hired to do the work at Veterans Park is Adams-Bickel Associates.

“I thank you very much for putting this together quickly. I think it’s fair. I appreciate all of the support,” O'Shea said.
