Borough Moving Closer to New Website

After receiving nine proposals for a redesigned site, the website committee is working to narrow down the options and hopes to have a recommendation by November, Council President Julia Woldorf said.

Newtown Borough has received nine proposals for a new website, Council President Julia Woldorf said Wednesday.

In July, Borough Council put out a formal request for proposals for a new website.

Borough officials say they want to bring the site up to date, as well as implement a content management system that would enable multiple officials and committee members to update pertinent information without using code.

All nine of the proposals are in the budget range of $2,000 to $5,000, Woldorf said.

Woldorf said the website committee, which is looking at options, has narrowed the list down to a couple of designs. “We’re hoping to draw this to a close fairly soon,” Woldorf said.
