Charles Machion Selected For Vacant Borough Council Seat

Machion, who will replace Gerard O'Malley, was selected unanimously by Borough Council during a meeting Wednesday.

 

State Street resident and attorney Charles Machion will replace Gerard O’Malley, . Machion will be sworn in Tuesday at Borough Council’s regular meeting.

A borough resident since 2000, Machion is an attorney employed by the Advertising Specialty Institute in Trevose.

“My family and I love the borough,” Machion said. “Its sense of history and community make it a unique place to live.”

Machion is married with three children. He is on the Board of Directors for Villa Victoria, a private school in Ewing, N.J., and a basketball coach for in Newtown.

Interviews for the seat were conducted publicly during the Wednesday meeting. Resident Michael Miller was also interviewed. Resident Paul Salvatore, who ran for council in November, had submitted his resume for consideration but pulled his application prior to the interview.
