Detroit should have gone bankrupt........you dont know the meaning of the word or the law that governs it unfortunately.
Susan M. Quinn November 05, 2012 at 12:29 AM
Susan@Watts, there is more than one woman with the same name, I do understand how The Supreme Court works. Again another angry Democrat.
Kelly November 05, 2012 at 12:33 AM
Watts, is that a picture of you, Obama or Oscar Proud? Lol! You still haven't answered my questions...WHY WERE THE CALLS FOR MORE SECURITY DENIED? Can I make myself ANY more clear?
Kelly November 05, 2012 at 12:34 AM
For those who don't know Oscar Proud, please google him! Ha ha ha!
Amend November 05, 2012 at 12:59 AM
Too much hate and polarization on both sides. A person should be able to express their opinion and state their support without ridiculous name-calling and assinine conspiracy theories leveled. You can hate Obama all you like, but it doesn't make Romney a better candidate. The GOP failed to put forth a worthy choice, and now their only hope is to marginalize their opponent as best they can, thus appealing to the most extreme fringe of the electorate. It's like common sense has gone out the window. The seeds of the recovery are taking hold, but that simply isn't enough to convince the fringe. They'd rather bet on the best of the worst that the GOP had to offer. Sad.
Kelly November 05, 2012 at 01:21 AM
Amend, where have you been? What name calling and conspiracy theories are you talking about? Btw...We don't hate Obama. We hate his policies. That's what you people just don't get because you actually do hate Republicans and all they stand for. Yes, even you Amend, the most opened minded of us all. We all know what an intellect you are. We have all been blessed to read your NUMEROUS posts! I can't believe there are still so many who haven't been enlightened by your words of wisdom! Let's get real...there is NO Republican candidate that any liberal would find worthy! I can't wait to see all these seeds of recovery that you speak of! Lol I guess I just need a new pair or rose colored glasses!
Amend November 05, 2012 at 01:43 AM
@Kelly- your retort to my comment is a perfect example of what I was referring to; very little substance and an abundance of disdain, tho I did enjoy you calling me open-minded and intellectual...even if it appears that your intention was to be sarcastic. There are plenty of moderate republicans who would have been better candidates if the GOP, as a whole, would have gotten behind them. John Huntsman is one that comes to mind. But what was presented to the electorate was mostly a collection of the extreme; Michelle Buchanan, Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, and then finally Mitt Romney. Heck, Ronald Reagan would have been considered more moderate compared to them, and at least Ron Paul was courageous enough to stand on his own opinion. It's the GOP's job to find good candidates. Don't blame those you consider liberals for being unimpressed by the crop that they put forth. The GOP is an undefined mess right now. Thats not the other party's fault.
Amend November 05, 2012 at 01:52 AM
@Kelly- and anyone who can't, or won't recognize the progress being made isn't being honest. When Obama first entered the office, the economy was in a collapse. Today it's in a much better position. That is simply undeniable. Sure, one could argue that things could be better, but it's disingenuous to imply that Obama's policies are a complete failure, just as it's equally disingenuous to insist that Romney will do it better when his plan for growth begs more questions than answers. I still have yet to understand how a 20% across the board tax cut will result in unprecedented economy growth or how it won't add to the deficit.
Ken November 05, 2012 at 01:57 AM
Obama is best course to return to Clinton's success, Clinton knows it and is returning to PA to share why, from someone who has been there.... any former President's campaigning for Romney?
Kelly November 05, 2012 at 02:12 AM
Amend, what you fail to realize is that we don't pick a candidate based on who the liberals would like. You are amazingly naive! The key people are the independents. Just because my life hasn't been improved by Obama's policies doesn't mean I'm not being honest! I just don't see it. I am sorry! That is my truth. What are you talking about...undeniable? I am glad that you who have 2 jobs and rely on your wife's full time job and benefits, are doing so well! Good for you! I still don't understand how 4 more years of the same policies will get us to a better place. So sad that you are willing to settle for the status quo! And can one liberal please explain the failure to get our people in Libya the security they requested? For that reason alone, I will vote Romney!
Amend November 05, 2012 at 02:30 AM
@Kelly- personal attacks are an attempt by those with a weak position to marginalize the opinion of others. Discuss the subject, not the individual. Continued job growth, a strengthening housing market, increases in retail and manufacturing, consumer confidence is growing, the Dow is giving around 13,000, Osama bin Laden is dead, Al Qeada is splintered. These things are undeniable. What has Romney got to offer other than stories of what he might do backed up by flimsy math?
Kelly November 05, 2012 at 03:12 AM
Amend, as I stated...it is NOT undeniable to ME! Get it through your thick skull! There are a lot of people who aren't as lucky as you and feel the same way I do! I don't have a weak position for me. It doesn't matter how weak YOU think my position is...it's MY position. You are a hypocrite as usual. You say not to make personal attacks yet I have read your numerous posts and you have made plenty! You can ramble on all you want with all your so called facts. it doesn't change people's reality! Your ramblings come across as blah blah blah! P.S. Still no answer for Libya...SHOCKER! I am moving on to reading about Romney's kick butt rally in Pa.! Later!
Nick November 05, 2012 at 03:13 AM
Kelly do some research on then topic. Right now you just sound foolish. The CIA has emphatically denied that The White House denied additional security. We are starting to learn now that there was a lot more to the Libya mission, and that The White House remained low key to protect American lives still on the ground in Benghazi. Exit the right wing bubble - join us in reality. Vote for whomever you want, but there is no need to lie and slander long the way.
Kelly November 05, 2012 at 03:21 AM
Ken, Obama is NO Clinton and the only reason Clinton is campaigning for Obama is to set things up for Hilary in 2016! As for Nick, Just wait for the facts to come out...AFTER the election. Let's face it....you are the fool! The CIA comes out with this lad of b s and people like you eat it up! Fingers are being pointed in so many directions that heads are spinning....just like the stories coming from the White House. You guys are the naive ones! As I said to Amend...I am moving on!
Krby November 05, 2012 at 03:59 AM
I can't wait for this election to be over just because I am sick of adults acting so childish. I can never read or hear anybody debate politics without getting nasty and childish. I very rarely am able to see an intellectual conversation happen on articles about the election. Why can't everybody just say their point of views, use actual facts and sources for everything they state and stop picking on each other!
Amend November 05, 2012 at 04:04 AM
@Kelly- denying facts is the essense of a weak position, and is usually motivated by an emotional response which is typically the worst platform from which to form an opinion. Everyone is allowed their position, but that doesn't mean all positions are equal or that some aren't more valuable collectively. Logic dictates. And disagreeing with someone's opinion, based on the logic, isn't a personal attack. That's just the nature of debate.
Watts November 05, 2012 at 10:08 AM
Here is where your whole argument falls flat. If the attacks happened because of the video or for some other reason, the attacks were an act of terror. All they did was let the facts get flushed out on the event and for something as crazy as this happening in a place like Libya, for an official declaration on the event to happen within two weeks is actually pretty f'n fast.
Watts November 05, 2012 at 10:11 AM
@melas Instead of asking the reader to look into it, why didn't you just provide a link to back up your claim?
Watts November 05, 2012 at 10:18 AM
That is what you meant?! When you wrote "Watts...why weren't the calls answered," I just figured that you were some crazy old stalker girlfriend. Actually, Foxnews just covered this about two or three days ago. There was some sort of communication issue. Who knows if I can find the article again, but it is on Fox and from just a few days ago. I not only read it, but used it in another thread where somebody more coherently asked about this, where I actually could understand what they were saying versus somebody whose writing style is more reminiscent of ranting like some crazy old girlfriend yelling up at my patio.
Watts November 05, 2012 at 10:21 AM
OK, but did you have some rant a week or so ago about how nobody but you knew how the Supreme Court worked and that is why Roe V Wade wasn't at risk? As soon as you started down that path, it sounded exactly like it was going down the same ridiculous path of the thread from a week or so ago.

Susan M. Quinn November 05, 2012 at 11:46 AM
@Watts, it was not me, I make comments on subjects that I have knowledge in.
Kelly November 05, 2012 at 12:24 PM
Watts, here is where your story falls flat...THERE WAS NO DEMONSTRATION outside! Can you get that through your thick skull! The videos show no one in the streets. The only thing in your head is AIR! Big LIE!
careless fills November 05, 2012 at 12:56 PM
This "Watts" is a prolific Democratic operative(s) who has (have) been posting under this name in a multitude of patch.com's all over the country. A quick survey of his last ten postings include replies to people in Newtown, PA; Belmont Shores-Naples, FL, Portsmouth, NH; Emmaus, PA; Concord, NH, Iowa City IA, Milford, NJ; Lower Gwynnyd, PA.
Watts November 05, 2012 at 07:26 PM
I get that adding random caps makes you think that you are making a point, but that is simply self deception. Where do you see me talking about demonstrations? I used the word "attacks." I have read that at times like this, so bi-polar people get so caught up in things like this that they actually need to change their meds to find balance. I hope that I am not overstepping by recommending a rush order on that for yourself, before your head explodes.
Watts November 05, 2012 at 07:33 PM
@careless And don't forget that I am available for weddings, bar mitzvahs and the general college kegger. Now did you have a point besides acknowledging that you stalked my profile trying to piecemeal a resume together?
Watts November 05, 2012 at 07:35 PM
Then I sincerely apologize if that was not you. The name and the approach to the issue really did feel familiar, but obviously I was mistaken. Please accept my apology.
Ex Nazareth Guy November 06, 2012 at 01:51 PM
Interesting board - sort of like the talking points from both campaigns. Forget the rhetoric and ask youself : 1. Did the President and his administration lie/mislead/etc the public? 2. Would you share a two-man life raft with Obama? Age has the advantage of having seen or smelled it before. So do your due diligence, analyze the facts, and vote your conscience today - voting is a privledge and a responsibility.
Ken November 06, 2012 at 03:20 PM
An interesting video on what is misleading or just saying hat you think people want to hear. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8o-HWGk1Qjk&sns=fb

Long lines are great for America....I just hope all VOTES are counted and people know they do NOT need ID to vote this year...only first time voters, no-one else.... Very concerned because I know of some Democrat absentee ballots that are list as unreceived and uncounted, and when asked, they said it was sent in over a week ago... PLEASE be OPEN & FAIR... PLEASE for US
