Corbett Reports $1.4M in First Quarter Campaign Fundraising

Governor Tom Corbett’s re-election campaign raised $1.4 million in the first quarter, according to information released today. The first quarter fundraising puts his cash on hand total at $5.9 million.

"Our campaign is in a strong position from a fundraising and organizational perspective.  We are executing our plan that is rooted in building a grassroots structure with a heavy emphasis on using new technologies and data that will help us share Governor Corbett's message and record with the voters,” Corbett’s Campaign Manager Mike Barley said in a statement released Tuesday.

According to a recent Franklin & Marshall College poll, York County businessman Tom Wolf has a double-digit lead over his three rivals for the Democratic party nomination, according to an article on Pennlive.com.

The poll revealed that 33 percent of Pennsylvanians support Wolf. U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz, D-Montgomery County, earned the support of 7 percent of poll responders.

The primary is May 20.
