County Suspends HR Director After Scathing Grand Jury Report

Bucks County’s Human Resources Director has been suspended without pay after a grand jury report revealed the department had poor oversight over county health plans, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.

The investigation began last year after an audit showed numerous dependents listed on Bucks County health plans were actually ineligible to receive benefits, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

The 76-page grand jury report, which was released Friday, revealed oversight by human resources leaders. The errors caused the county to spend $450,000 that it was not required to provide for the benefits. 

Dolan is unlikely to return, according to Bucks County Commissioner Robert Loughery.

CBS Philly reported that county officials have indicated more personnel changes would be made in the wake of the report.
