Lawmakers to Hold Hearing on School Construction Projects

The hearing, requested by State Rep. Steve Santarsiero (D-31), will look at problems local school districts have had receiving state reimbursements for school construction projects.

The House Democratic Policy Committee will hold a hearing on school construction projects Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Council Rock High School North. The hearing will be held in the library.

State Rep. Steve Santarsiero (D-31) requested the hearing and will serve as co-chairman.

“The hearing will look specifically at problems local school districts have had in redeeming promised reimbursements from the state for needed school maintenance and construction projects,” according to a press release.

Council Rock School District Superintendent Mark Klein and Bristol Township School District Superintendent Samuel Lee are scheduled to testify. Union representatives are also scheduled to testify.

The hearing is open to the public.
