Local School Board Candidates Prepare for Tuesday Primary
In the Newtown Patch area, there are two contested races for Council Rock School Board.
Council Rock School Board candidates from Upper Makefield and Wrightstown are running in contested races in the Tuesday primary.
All three candidates have cross-filed, meaning both democrats and republicans can vote for them.
The seat for Region 8 is currently held by Paul Anagnostakos, who is stepping down after 10 years on the board.

Wrightstown residents Kyle McKessy and Le Sheppard are facing off to represent region 9 on the Council Rock School Board. Region 9 includes all of Wrightstown and Newtown Township districts 1 and 2. McKessy is the incumbent.
The primary will be held May 21. Both candidates have cross filed.

The general election takes place November 5, 2013. The last day to register for the general is October 7.
