O’Brien said there are a few loose ends to wrap up before the public can view the site, but the overall design is complete.

He said the new site will have enhanced features that will provide the public with information about the borough, including contact information, events, calendars, agendas and meeting meetings.

There will be a “notify me” feature on the site that will allow people to provide an email and phone number so they can receive updates on topics of their interest.

A video section will allow council to upload footage of meetings and make it available for public viewing.

The cost of the site is  $5,000 to launch and $1,500 a year to be maintained.
