Newtown Borough Seeking Volunteers

Borough is accepting applications for openings on several community boards and committees

If you are a borough resident looking to get more involved with the community, you're in luck. Newtown Borough is seeking volunteers to fill a number of openings on community boards and committees.

Borough Council Vice President Perry Warren announced at the Council's December meeting that the borough is seeking volunteers. There are at least seven openings within the borough and three openings on the Newtown Corporation Board of Directors, he said.

There are vacancies on the Historical Architectural Review Board, which reviews and deems appropriate all plans for exterior changes to buildings within the borough's historic district.  This board has seven members who are elected to five-year terms.  The Historical Architectural Review Board meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
