No Action Taken On McDonald's Application

The applicant will come back to the planning commission to continue review of the preliminary plans for a fast food restaurant at the Village of Newtown East Shopping Center.

 

The Newtown Township Planning Commission took no action Tuesday night on an application for a McDonald’s in the Village of Newtown East Shopping Center.  The applicant will come before the planning commission again to continue discussion of the preliminary plan.

The land development application proposes a 3,911 square-foot fast food restaurant with a drive-through window on the site of Office Place East, a building adjacent to Wells Fargo Bank.

Several dozen people turned out for the meeting, which ended after 11 p.m. Discussion of Beneficial Bank’s conditional use application to construct a location on Sycamore Street took up the beginning portion of the meeting.
