Newtown Borough Council on Tuesday unanimously voted to advertise a $2,461,597 proposed budget for 2013.
Borough officials say the budget, which will be approved in its final form in December, will not increase taxes for residents.
The proposed budget is available for public review at Borough Hall.
Borough treasurer Pat Ours told the Newtown Advance that under the proposed budget, the average borough household will continue to pay about $360 a year for borough services.
