Skate Park Noise Remedies to be Discussed Tonight

Tonight's Newtown Township Supervisors agenda includes a discussion of noise remedies at the Skate Park, which was closed last month after noise complaints from residents of the Tyler Walk community.

The Newtown Township Supervisors tonight will discuss recommendations for noise remedies at the Skate Park, which was closed last month due to complaints from nearby residents.

In an e-mail Tuesday, Supervisors Chairman Rob Ciervo said a review of the noise remediation proposal would be discussed at tonight's meeting. He noted that a portion of the remediation work to address noise would be donated.

The township temporarily closed the municipal skate park in March because of complaints from residents of the Tyler Walk community, who said the noise was unbearable. The park, which just opened in October, is located off the Newtown Bypass behind Staples. Tyler Walk is located on the other side of the Bypass, with an entrance on Durham Road.
