Mike Gallagher was selected as chairman of the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors during a reorganization meeting Tuesday.
Matt Benchener was selected as vice chairman.
Republican Ryan Gallagher, who was elected in November, was sworn in. He was also selected to serve as secretary/treasurer of the board. Alexa Gallagher was sworn in as auditor.
"I want to thank the board members for their faith and confidence in me," Mike Gallagher said.
The next meeting of the Board of Supervisors is Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m.
Not only did Gallagher NOT resign from the Board of Supervisors but he now feels he has earned the community's forgiveness and deserves to be the most powerful person in our Township. I feel this is a disgrace. Mike is up for re-election in 2013. May our lack of support for him at the polls tell him how we really feel about his ability to govern our Township.
Cause' U screwed up when buying that stupid looking Yellow house in an office research Zone !
