Walker Reappointed as Borough Council President

New council members Tara Grunde McLaughlin, a Democrat, and Chris Gusty, a Republican, were sworn in during the annual reorganization meeting.

Newtown Borough Council retained the same leadership during a reorganization meeting Monday.

Robert Walker was again appointed as council president and Larry Auerweck will remain as council vice president.

New council members Tara Grunde McLaughlin, a Democrat, and Chris Gusty, a Republican, were sworn in during the annual reorganization meeting. 

Walker and fellow incumbent Perry Warren were also sworn in during the meeting.

The reorganization meeting was council's only meeting in January. The next scheduled meeting is the Feb. 5 work session.
