Newtown Township is currently accepting resumes to fill a supervisors seat to be vacated by Matt Benchener as of Feb. 1. The deadline to submit a letter of interest and resume is 1 p.m. on Feb. 5
The person appointed to the seat will fill an unexpired term until January 4, 2016.

Benchener resigned last week due to increasing work and family responsibilities.
According to information posted on the township’s website, the board will interview candidates at a public meeting that will likely occur between Feb. 10 and 13.

Applicants must be a current resident of Newtown Township and at least 18 years old.
