Lightning caused a fire that destroyed a Wrightstown Township home in July.

Council Rock closed for a day due to a threat from a student.

Benjamin Wheeler died in the Sandy Hook school shootings.

  • Former Council Rock North Student Killed in Saturday Car Accident

Cameron Smithwick had recently returned to the area from Texas before he died in the accident.

  • Missing Man Found Dead in Neshaminy Creek

Michael Naylon had been missing for weeks before his body was found in October.

  • Strip Mall Heavily Damaged After Fire

The fire damaged a portion of the Village at Newtown Shopping Center that was formerly home to Sarcone's Deli. Primo Hoagies has since opened in the renovated spot.

  • Newtown Swim Club to Close after Next Summer

The summer of 2013 will be the last summer for the Newtown Swim Club. Owner David Platt is seeking to build condos on the property.

Six teens were charged in conjunction with the incident in May.
