Annual Tea Raises Record $16K For BCCC Scholarships

Sixteen $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Bucks County Community College students who are supporting at least one child.

Bucks County Community College’s sixth annual Women’s Scholarship Tea raised a record amount for scholarships.

According to information from the college, the event, which was held on Oct. 24, raised $16,000 for the “Salute to Mothers” scholarship.

The success of the event will allow the Bucks County Community College Foundation to award 16 $1,000 scholarships next year to students who are supporting at least one child.

First Niagara was the event’s presenting sponsor, Mingoni Jewelry was the tea sponsor and PECO was the scholarship sponsor. 

The BCCC Foundation is a nonprofit educational trust that provides expanded resources for the college’s growth and development. Foundation funds support instructional resources, campus facilities, scholarships and awards, cultural activities and special college projects.
