Anonymous Person Creates 'CR North Insults' Facebook Page

A Facebook page called CR North Insults has been created as a response to a CR North Compliments Facebook page.

Editor's note, 8:40 p.m. Tuesday: The CR North Insults page has since been removed from Facebook

Earlier this month, the CR North Compliments page was created to anonymously say nice things about students at the Newtown high school.

And now, a page that does quite the opposite has popped up.

CR North Insults, a Facebook page created by an unknown person on Jan. 24, uses the social media site to make cracks about students. As of Monday night, 257 people were following the page.

"Due to Newton's third law of motion, for every action there is is always an equal and opposite reaction...so I took the liberty of creating that opposite reaction," reads a post on the page introducing its intent.

The creator of the page says the various insults are meant to be funny.

"It is meant to make people laugh and also for the targeted people to get a little kick out of it as well. If anybody is actually offended by anything that I post then I would be more than happy to take the post down. Thank you very much and lets get these insults coming!"

In a post Sunday, the CR North Compliments page clarified it has no affiliation with CR North Insults. "I want to announce that this page is in no way associated with CRnorth Insults. I don't know who runs it and I do not support its actions," CR North Compliments wrote.

The CR North Compliments page was created Jan. 7 and has 929 friends as of Monday evening.
