BCCC Launches Neuroscience Program

Bucks County Community College has added the study of the structure and function of neurons to its curriculum.

Bucks County Community College has added a neuroscience program to its curriculum becoming one of the first community colleges in the country to offer an associate's degree in the discipline.
A degree in the study of the structure and function of neurons enables a student with an associates degree to look for a job as a clinical research assistant, a medical writer, or a healthcare market research analyst and more, according to Debra Niehoff, the coordinator of the neuroscience program.
Furthermore, the degree allows students who transfer to a four-year college or university even more career opportunities in the healthcare, medical, and counseling fields.
