BCCC Seeking Entries to Soup Contest

The cook who submits the winning recipe will receive $100.

Bucks County Community College is seeking area residents to submit their favorite soup recipes for a chance to win $100.

The deadline to enter the annual “Soup-Off” contest is Jan. 25. The contest is also open to homemade chili and stew. 

The tasting takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8, during the opening reception for the “Show Some heART” art exhibition and sale at the college’s Lower Bucks Campus in Bristol Township.

Entries will be judged on taste, aroma, color and consistency, according to information provided by the college. Soup must be prepared on-site at the Lower Bucks Campus in the contestant’s own crock pot or other portable cooking appliance.

Contestants must provide one gallon of soup, a ladle and a crock pot or electric soup maker from which to serve it. Tasting cups and spoons will be provided by the college.

Multiple entries are allowed; there is no entry fee.
