Council Rock Jazz Night Set for May 11
The free event will feature jazz bands from throughout the district.
Council Rock School District is hosting its annual Jazz Night, featuring musical ensembles from eight schools, on May 11 at Performances begin at 7 p.m.
“This festival started out 13 years ago and has grown into a district-wide jazz festival,” said Keith Rudat, band director at Newtown Middle School. This year, he said, there will be 11 Council Rock jazz bands attending.

According to organizers, jazz bands from throughout the district have been preparing all year for the event. Performances include bands from both and , plus Newtown Middle, Richboro Middle and Holland Middle.
Jazz bands from three elementary schools –- , , and Hillcrest – will also be present.
