The Phoenixville-based bank, which has three braches in Bucks County, made the contribution as part of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program.

Under the program, companies that make an EITC donation to a nonprofit scholarship or educational improvement organization receive a 75 percent tax credit from the state, which increases to 90 percent if the company makes the same donation for two consecutive years. A business can receive up to $300,000 a year in Pennsylvania tax credits by participating in the program.
