Council Rock: No Snow Days Means School Ends June 11

Seniors from Council Rock North and South will also graduate on June 11.

 

A mild winter with no weather-related school closures means Council Rock School District students can expect to finish classes for the year on June 11.

“With the weather forecast continuing in a spring-like fashion, it appears safe to set the end of school dates now for parents and students to begin planning for graduation and the end of school,” district officials said in an email.

Assuming there are no weather-related closures from now until June, the last day of school will be Monday, June 11. Graduation for seniors at Council Rock North and South will also be held that day.

The 10-day forecast shows we’re likely in the clear for an early spring snow storm. Temperatures will hover in the 70s this week, with some weekend rain expected.

The forecast for early next week anticipates temperatures in the upper 50s and 60s.
