Bill Marsh Ford and Council Rock High School North Band Parents Association are partnering to help raise up to $6000 in support of the marching band program as part of the Ford Motor Company’s Drive One 4 UR School program. The award-winning Council Rock Marching Band is an integral part of the community, providing music and color to the Halloween, Holiday and Memorial Day parades as well as the opening ceremonies of Buck County Special Olympics. Members of the Newtown-area community will have the opportunity to raise money for the band by test driving a Ford vehicle on May 19 between 10am and 4pm at the high school on Swamp Road.
“As a business in our community, we understand just how hard it is to make a positive difference in the lives of those around us” said Herb Spies, Sales Manager at the dealership. “The high degree of dedication and commitment of the Council Rock North Marching Band is of utmost importance. At Bill Marsh Ford, and with the support of Ford Motor Company, we understand this dedication and are asking you to take a turn at the wheel with us!"
For every test drive taken, Ford Motor Company and Bill Marsh Ford will donate $20 to the CRBPA. While drivers take their choice of a Fiesta, Focus, Fusion or Escape for a spin around town they’ll have the opportunity to have their own car washed by members of the marching band.
“We are very excited about this opportunity to team with Bill Marsh Ford: to work together to support the Marching Band in this unique way” said Debbie Van Aken, President of CRBPA. “This event will be a day where we will see many facets of our community working and having fun together: the students, parents, community members and a local business. We are grateful for the efforts and support of Bill Marsh Ford to help us raise much-needed funds to support this 150-member student organization.”
