Final School Security Forum Set for Wednesday

The forum begins at 7 p.m. at Newtown Middle School.

The final Council Rock School District forum on school security will be held Wednesday at Newtown Middle School.

The forum starts at 7 p.m. and will provide parents a chance to discuss school security and brainstorm ideas on how to improve safety in the district's schools.

This will be the last of three forums held by the district to discuss school security.

"The forums will allow for suggestions that may apply to both individual schools and/or district security practices. While input and suggestions will be welcome, a final plan will await both the conclusion of these three meetings and a public discussion with the Board of School Directors in February," the Council Rock website said.

The district has compiled a list of recommendations and suggestions made by parents who attended the two other school safety forums. Those recommendations and suggestions are posted online at the Council Rock School District website.
