Firefighters Graduate From BCCC

The college's Bucks County Public Safety Training Center recognized volunteers and professionals who completed six months of first-level national certification training.

Approximately 60 volunteer and professional firefighters from across Bucks County and Southeastern Pennsylvania graduated Wednesday from Bucks County Community College's intensive Basic Fire Academy Firefighter I National Certification program.

The program was held at the Bucks County Public Safety Training Center, which is run by BCCC.

Some firefighters trained each Saturday for six months; others completed the certification over five weeks by training Monday through Fridays.

Speakers at the graduation ceremony included College President Dr. James Linksz and College Vice President Barbara Miller.

Dozens of firemen, fire chiefs and police officers attended the ceremony, along with the family and friends of the graduates.
