Nine Council Rock Schools Still Without Power

Council Rock School District has been closed since Monday due to Hurricane Sandy.

Nine Council Rock School District schools remain without power as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

Superintendent Mark Klein said as of noon Wednesday, the following schools are without power:

  • Council Rock North
  • Council Rock South
  • Richboro Middle School 
  • Richboro Elementary School
  • Maureen M. Welch Elementary School
  • Hillcrest Elementary School
  • Sol Feinstone Elementary School 
  • Newtown Elementary School
  • Rolling Hills Elementary School 

The district has yet to make a determination on whether school will be held Thursday.

Hillcrest's power is back (at least partial) - can see many lights in the building, parking lot, and even the traffic light at the corner is back!
