Open House at BCCC is Saturday

The open house will be held this Saturday at the Newtown Campus.

Interested in learning more about Bucks County Community College?

The college is hosting an open house for prospective students and their parents this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It takes place in Tyler Hall, the French-Norman mansion on the college’s Newtown campus that’s on the National Register of Historic Places.

The open house event is a way to introduce the community to the public, two-year college.

“We’re very pleased that our open houses have been so well-received,” said Marlene Barlow, Director of Admissions. “We’ve had more than 300 students and parents attend each event, and the feedback from the public has been very positive.” 

Barlow said the open house is a good opportunity to learn how Bucks County Community College can help you reach your educational goals.

Representatives from six academic departments, which offer nearly 80 majors leading to either a two-year associate degree or shorter-term certificate, will be available for questions and information. Officials from the college’s financial aid and other student-services departments will also be on hand. Professors and students will be in attendance to answer questions as well.

Courses can be taken at the original campus in Newtown, the Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie, the Lower Bucks Campus in Bristol, and online through the college’s virtual campus.
