Tyler Tasting to Feature Auction, Food to Support Scholarships

Everything from week-long beach vacations, private jazz piano lessons and a cooking class for 10 will be auctioned off Friday at the 24th annual Tyler Tasting Party.

The event will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in historic Tyler Hall on the  of Bucks County Community College. Click here for a full list of auction items. 

Funds raised at the annual event benefit the Bucks County Community College Foundation. The foundation uses the money to support scholarships at the school and fund the restoration of Tyler Hall, the 82-year-old mansion that served as the home of banker George F. Tyler and his wife.

The party will feature a range of food prepared by three dozen restaurants, caterers, bakeries and cafes from throughout the county. Participants include The Pineville Tavern, , oWowCow Creamery,  ,  and more. (See the full list below.)

In addition, guests will have the opportunity to sample a variety of wine and beer. There will be a live auction as well as a silent auction.

Tyler Hall became the cornerstone of Bucks County Community College when the school opened in 1965. The 60-room mansion was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. To date, the Tyler Tasting Party has raised more than half a million dollars for restoration projects and scholarships.

For the 11th consecutive year,  is sponsoring the event.
