Wrightstown Elementary Donates Books to Haitian School

The donated books are being replaced due to a new reading program next September, school officials said.

recently donated books to Poverty Resolutions, Inc., a non-profit organization that is currently working with an elementary school in Haiti that was damaged by a hurricane two years ago. The donated books are being replaced due to the start of a new reading program next September, school officials said.

Each school in the district was given the option of donating the books to a worthy cause, according to Wrightstown Elementary School officials.

Wrightstown’s Literacy Specialist and Humanities teacher Nancy Rieger oversaw the collection of the used books. The 200 students who attend the Haitian school will have new books to start their school year.
