When did your business get started?
Mom Mom's Gourmet Take and Bake, formerly Moms Bake at Home Pizza, was created in 1962. We began operations in Newtown in 1993. We celebrated our 20th anniversary in February.
Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?
Newtown was selected because of its quaint shopping district and historical and architectural atmosphere. We also live here.
What is your business best known for?
Gourmet pizzas, special crusts including whole wheat, oat and multi grain as well as gluten free. We have 43 different toppings and six sauces. Specialty cheeses include three blend and vegan (lactose free). We have a variety of strombolis, including breakfast, whole wheat and multi grain specialties.
What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?
Order your pizza in a kit form that family can prepare at home. Pizzas and stromboli can be baked on a grill.
