A forecast of considerable rain has prompted the Phillies to postpone the home opener to Tuesday.

A forecast of rain has prompted the Phillies to postpone Monday's home opener at Citizens Bank Park.

The home opener will now be Tuesday at 4:05 p.m. against the Brewers. Tuesday's forecast calls for cloudy skies but no rain, according to the Weather Channel.

A statement posted on the Phillies website says tickets for Monday's game will be honored for Tuesday. Gates open at 1:35 p.m.
