Is PA's Fracking Boom Out of Gas?

Columnist says governor is "all hat, no cattle" on natural gas industry.

Two years ago, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett promised to make the state the home of a new natural gas drilling boom.

But since 2010, gas drilling in Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Shale formation has dropped more than 50 percent,Philadelphia Daily News columnist Will Bunch wrote Wednesday.

“It’s beginning to look as if the governor was all hat and no cattle, at least on this issue,” Bunch reported, in a piece that discusses the economic and political implications for this drop in gas production.
