Jog 'n Hog at Shady Brook Farm

The inaugural Uncle Dave's Ice Cream Jog n' Hog requires participants to run two miles, eat a quart of ice cream and then jog back.

In celebration of National Ice Cream Day, Shady Brook Farm is hosting the inaugural Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream Jog n’ Hog on July 15.

This “fun and slightly crazy event” will challenge participant's bodies, minds and stomachs, organizers said in a press release.

During the event, runners will jog two miles on Shady Brook Farm then stop and eat a quart of Uncle Dave’s vanilla ice cream. But the ice cream isn’t a reward for exercising – participants will then run two miles back to the starting line after eating the creamy dessert.
