Don't Forget: Paws In the Park Is Sunday

Focus on Homeless Animals is hosting the dog walk and pet fair to raise money to build a "no-kill" animal shelter in Bucks County.

Help an effort to rescue homeless pets and have fun at the same time this weekend at the “Paws in the Park” event Sunday at /.

The event, hosted by Washington Crossing-based rescue organization Focus on Homeless Animals, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is a rain or shine event, organizers said.

The event will feature music, children’s entertainment, a dog contest with prizes, food, raffles, various vendors, agility and Frisbee demonstrations, pet trainers, face painting and more.

Paws in the Park will raise money to meet the costs of rescuing animals and also to help the organization achieve its goal of building a “no-kill” animal shelter in Bucks County, organizers said.

Registration for the walk is $25 and begins at 9:30 a.m. The walk starts at 10 a.m.

To find the fair, go to Bucks County Community College’s Newtown Campus on Swamp Road. Once you enter, park on the lot to the left. Attendants will be there to help you find the path to the event.
