Dresses With Love Hosting MLK Day of Service Volunteer Event

For the second year, girl scouts Dona Lisciotto and Emma Lambert-Waldmann are seeking help to turn fabric remnants and pillow cases into clothes for those in need.

Dresses with Love, an organization founded by two local Girl Scouts that sends dresses to impoverished girls, is seeking volunteers as part of the MLK Day of Service.

For the second year, Dona Lisciotto and Emma Lambert-Waldmann are seeking help to turn fabric remnants and pillow cases into clothes for those in need.

“We are currently helping volunteers at Woodside Presbyterian Church get ready for their group going to Haiti in February. So we are looking for volunteers to join us,” according to an email from the group.

On Monday, Dresses with Love is holding a volunteer opportunity as part of the MLK Day of Service. Volunteers should meet at Grace Point Church, 592 Washington Crossing Rd, on Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteers can help in a variety of ways, including sewing dresses, hair barrettes and shorts or making paper tags, according to organizers.
