"Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers with only a 5 percent five year survival rate and it claims more than twice as many U.S. lives as HIV/AIDS each year with over 40,000 lost to this cancer yearly in the United States.  The average life expectancy of someone diagnosed with pancreatic cancer today is still only six months," according to a press release from Fund a Cure.

Over the last four years, Fund A Cure for Pancreatic Cancer has donated more than $100,000 to the pancreatic cancer research team of Jefferson University Hospital led by doctors Charles Yeo and Jonathan Brody.
