Social Service Organization Hosting Mother's Day Tea
The event will be held Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. and will feature tea, light refreshments, 20 vendors, a raffle and a scavenger hunt with a Kindle Fire as the prize.
The Bucks County Housing Group will host its second annual Mother’s Day Tea this Saturday at Tyler Hall on the . The event will raise money for families participating in the organization’s supportive housing programs.
BCHG is a private, non-profit social service organization that provides a range of housing and related social services to homeless and low-income families. The supportive housing program assists homeless moms with children who are working to move to permanent housing and achieve financial stability.

The open house event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. and will feature tea, light refreshments, 20 vendors, a raffle and a scavenger hunt with a Kindle Fire as the prize.
The Tea Can Company will be offering specialty teas. A variety of treats, including cupcakes, tea sandwiches and scones, will be served.

According to Angela Flannery, the BCHG’s volunteer coordinator, $2,200 was raised at the event in 2011. This year, the organization hopes to raise $5,000.
The event sponsor is William Penn Bank. Event chairs are Terry Sager, president and CEO of William Penn Bank, and Gail Acosta, assistant director of the BCCC Foundation. “We absolutely support the work that BCHG does in the community. It is wonderful that we can provide this funding for such a nice event,” Sager said.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students and $5 for children if purchased in advance. Tickets will be available at the door for $25, $15 and $10.
All attendees who purchase their tickets online before May 5 will get one free raffle ticket.
