Public Forum About Tax Shift, 'Arsenic and Old Lace' Opens

Plus the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors will hold a budget presentation meeting.

Here's a look at what's going on in Newtown this week: 

MONDAY

The first of two public forums about a November referendum that would eliminate the occupation assessment tax and replace it with an increase in the earned income tax will be held Monday. The forum will begin at 7 p.m. at Richboro Middle School. The second public forum will be held on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at Newtown Middle School.

TUESDAY
The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors will hold a budget presentation meeting Tuesday 7:45 p.m.

WEDNESDAY
Are you concerned about climate change? Then be sure to attend Wednesday's special program, "Climate Reality: 2013 Update," at Bucks County Community College. The program, free and open to the public, begins at noon on Wednesday.

THURSDAY
"Climate Reality: 2013 Update" will also be given Thursday at 12:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Newtown Arts Company's performance of "Arsenic and Old Lace" opens Thursday at the Newtown Theatre. 

FRIDAY
Didn't catch "Arsenic and Old Lace" on opening night? There will be more performances Friday and through the weekend.
