Christmas Jazz, Toys for Tots Party Among Weekend Events

Plus a grassroots movement of American mothers will hold a memorial event Saturday to honor the victims of last year's shooting.

Here's a look at what's going on this weekend in Newtown:

CHRISTMAS JAZZ
What: Crossing Vineyards will host Christmas Jazz with Eric Mintel
When/where: Friday starting at 7 p.m., 1853 Wrightstown Rd, Washington Crossing

NO MORE SILENCE
What: A grassroots movement of American mothers will hold a memorial event in Newtown to honor the victims of last year’s shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
When/where: Saturday at 11 a.m., Lutheran Church of Godʼs Love, 791 Newtown-Yardley Rd, Newtown

TOYS FOR TOTS PARTY
What: Bring a unwrapped toy for to benefit Toys for Tots and enjoy live music, raffles and drink specials
When/where: Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Sycamore Grill, 255 N. Sycamore St., Newtown
Cost: No cover; drink prices vary

FAMILY MOVIE DAY
What: The County Theater is hosting its annual Celebration of Giving charity event. Kids can watch family friendly movies, plus enjoy activities like face painting and trivia. 
When/where: Saturday at 10 a.m. at the County Theater, 20 E State St, Doylestown
Cost: Free with a donation of a new unwrapped toy for charity.

A VERY TOWN AND COUNTRY CHRISTMAS
What: Town and County's  final show of the season is “A Very Town and Country Christmas.” This musical variety show features 22 performers.
When/where: Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.; St. Cyril Social Hall, 1410 Almshouse Rd, Jamison
Cost: $15 for adults, $10 for children

CHRISTMAS MUSIC FESTIVAL
What: The Bucks County Choral Society will performs its 36th annual concert of Christmas favorites. 
When/where: Saturday at 8 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown
Cost: Tickets: $17 in advance, $22 at the door; for more information visit www.buckschoral.org
