Market Day, Veterans Park Celebration Among Weekend Events

What: The Newtown Historic Association will host Market Day, a colonial craft and art fair
When/where: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Half Moon Inn at Court Street and Centre Avenue.

What: Veterans Park fields will open with a celebration Saturday.
When/where: Saturday at 9 a.m. at Veterans Park off Durham Road
Cost: Free. The day will feature several events, including games, scarecrow making (there is a $10 fee for that activity) and a community yard sale.
What: The First National Bank & Trust Co. is holding a free community shredding event. Bring up to four boxes of personal documents to have them shredded on site.
When/where: Saturday at 9 to 11 a.m. at Bucks County Community College
Cost: Free
What: Froehlich's Farm Pumpkin Festival will feature hayrides, pick your own pumpkins, a corn maze, moon bounce, kid’s activities, pony rides, music, food and more.
When/where: Every weekend until Oct. 27 at Froehlich’s Farm, 3143 York Rd, Furlong

What: Celebrate literary whimsy with a self-guided museum scavenger hunt based on the character of the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.
When/where: Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Mercer Museum, 84 South Pine St.
Cost: Included with museum admission, which is $12 for adults; $6 for children and free for members.
What: Musician Joan Osborne will perform live in Bucks County
When/where: Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Bucks County Playhouse, 70 S Main St., New Hope
