Newtown Gearing Up for First Fourth Celebration

The July 5 event will feature food, vendors, inflatables, kids activities and, of course, fireworks.

Newtown’s annual Independence Day festivities, called First Fourth, will be held on Saturday, July 5 at Newtown Middle School.

The festivities will include food, vendors, inflatables, kids activities and, of course, fireworks.

The fireworks are again sponsored by Piccolo Trattoria, which donated $3,500 for the show. The local Italian restaurant also stepped up to sponsor the fireworks in 2013.
