Is It Healthy To Eat Good Fat?

Good fats are essential for physical and emotional health. Here are some of the good fats that you must consume it daily.

Super Dark Chocolate 

Dark chocolate is made from the seed of a cocoa tree. It is the best source of antioxidants that can be beneficial to your health in many ways. According to several studies dark chocolate keeps you away from various heart diseases. Dark chocolate with a high cocoa content is nutritious and has a good amount of soluble fiber as well as minerals. It also contains potassium, zinc, phosphorus and selenium.Many scientific trials have been done on cocoa and dark chocolate, that shows that it improves the blood flow and keeps the blood pressure normal.Recent research has come to a conclusion that a person who consumes 3.5 ounces of dark chocolate daily helps to reduce blood pressure significantly. It even improves the health of a diabetic person and also for treating mild to moderate depression.

Grass-fed (pasture-raised) butter
 
Dairy products such as milk, butter, cheese as well as eggs, meat from pastured animals are the best compared to commercial products. They don’t have the traces of added hormones or other drugs and it contains antioxidants like vitamin E, C and Beta – carotene. Cows feeding on pasture produce butter that is enriched with balanced omega 3 to 6 ratio. The grass fed butter is dark yellow, often golden in color because it contains more carotene. The foods that are rich in color are important for the healthy body. Conjugated linoleic acid is present in grass fed butter. 

Whole Eggs, including the yolk 

Egg white contains only contain less protein; the whole nutrition is present in the yolk. It is rich in vitamins B12, A, D, E, K, pantothenic acid and folate. The minerals like calcium, iron, phosphorus, selenium and zinc are also present in it. Eating eggs including yolk stimulate the production of your red blood cells and increases the supply of oxygen carrying capacity of the blood. A large egg yolk contains about 210 milligrams of cholesterol and 5 grams of fat. However, various studies show that eating an egg everyday does not heighten your potential for high blood pressure and heart diseases.According to a new study eating whole eggs helps to make your heart healthy even if you have coronary heart disease. The group that consumed the highest amount of protein egg at breakfast reported to reduce hunger pangs and the increase in fullness compared to the group that consumed normal protein breakfast. 

Grass-fed beef
 
Grass fed beef comes from cattle that feed only on grass. Conventional beef and dairy cattle feed on grains including corn at certain points. The diet of cattle changes the nutritional value of beef that you eat. Grass fed beef is beneficial for maintaining a healthy heart that other beef don’t contain. It is low in fat and has omega-3 fatty acid that is a must for keeping your heart problem free. It is also a source of linoleic acid that lowers the risk cancer. It also has antioxidant including vitamin E. 

Coconut milk

Coconut milk is packed with vitamins, iron, selenium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, and phosphorus. It is creamy and has a taste that is loved by all. It is also used as a beauty product and is good for keeping your hairs healthy. It is greatly used in the kitchen for preparing different food items. It is a rich source of calcium containing 38 milligrams of calcium a cup as compared to regular milk that contain 300 milligrams of calcium per cup.  It helps to build strong bones.Coconut milk’s fiber content keep you feeling fuller for a long time and if taken in moderation can help to control weight. 

Almond Butter
 

Almond butter should be included in your diet. It is healthy, tastes good and is highly nutritious. It is rich in monounsaturated fats that help to minimize the levels of cholesterol in the blood. You can make yourself free from the risk of serious heart diseases by dipping your biscuit in it or spreading it on your bread.Almond butter has a sweet taste that does not increase the blood sugar levels. Instead it helps to maintain it. It can be an ideal meal for you if you have diabetes.

Avocados 

Avocados are a good source of monounsaturated fat which is highly beneficial for health. It is relatively high in fiber. A typical avocado contains both soluble as well as insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber helps in cleaning your bowels by increasing efficient bowel movements. It even reduces the risk of colorectal cancer as it effectively cleanses the colon. It also controls the appetite by keeping you feel full for a longer time. Avocado also contains important vitamins such as B, E and K. It helps to increase the metabolism and also useful for a healthy skin tone. Vitamin E helps to prevent retinopathy.
