Overall my experience at BLC has been a friendly one, with young women who are very helpful. On Mon 24, Sept, I went in looking for a new foundation. Unsure of what to buy, as I have supper sensitive skin and wanted something to cover my acne scares, a lovely brunette helped me out and gave me two samples: one of Beautyland's name brand and one of Dermablend. She went above and beyond great customer service, helping me to find the right color match and the right coverage. On the 25th I tried BLC brand, wore it for the day and was very pleased. on the 26th (today) I used the Dermablend, that of which I decided was not the right product for me.
Late this afternoon I went back to BLC to purchase the BLC foundation. A tall, pretty brunette helped me out some, but ended up working with another client (that of which I had no problem with). It was discovered that although your inventory shows that you have it in stock, it was not. I could not order it either:( Another young lady stepped in to help me out. She offered for me to try another shade, slightly darker. I asked if I could perhaps have a sample to take home and try out, see if it was good match. She would not, but said that I could remove my make up in the store, put on that foundation and see how it looked. Why is it that I was given two samples two days ago freely, without hesitation, and today she wouldn't let me? I was ready to buy. Not now. Patron expectations should be met by all BLC employees.

I know change is hard...but I really miss "the old" Beautyland. If I wanted to go to another upscale expensive store, I'd go to Bloomingdale's. End of an era.
