There are classics like "A Christmas Story" and newer favorite flicks such as "Elf." Which one wins your vote for best holiday movie?
Along with shopping for gifts, decorating the house, listening to Christmas music, baking and more, another holiday pastime is watching Christmas movies. Whether you strictly watch "A Christmas Story" on repeat on Dec. 25, tune in to the 25 Days of Christmas on ABC Family or have your own private collection for your viewing pleasure, everyone has a favorite (or least favorite) Christmas movie. Patch compiled a list of some popular Christmas flicks (though we couldn't list them all) and want to know which is your favorite. If you don't see your favorite, tell us about it in the comments.

As part of the Classic Holiday Movie Series, Newtown Theatre will show "A Christmas Story."
"A Christmas Story" will be shown on Saturday at Newtown Theatre as part of the Classic Holiday Movie Series. Haines Fire & Risk is sponsoring the screening, which starts at 10 a.m. Admission to the show is $2 or a donation of four cans of nonperishable food items, which will go to the Penndel Food Pantry. If you can’t make the movies but want to support the charitable effort, donations to the Holiday Food Drive can also be dropped off at the Newtown Theatre any time throughout December. There’s nothing quite like a heartwarming movie to get you in the holiday spirit. And thanks to a classic movie series that continues Saturday, holiday cheer will abound at the Newtown Theatre. The series features award-winning classic holiday movies that will be screened Saturdays until Christmas. But it’s not just the films that are in line with the Christmas spirit; the series also supports a food drive for the Penndel Food Pantry. The series, sponsored by area businesses, began November 24 with “Miracle on 34th Street.” Admission to all shows is $2 or a donation of four cans of nonperishable food items for the Penndel Food Pantry. I'm probably the minority here but I just don't see the appeal in A Christmas Story. I flat out think its overrated. I like frosty the snowman more ›
