Attempted Bank Robbery This Morning at TD Bank

According to Newtown Township Police Department, a man attempted to rob the TD Bank on West Road this morning.

An attempted bank robbery occured this morning in Newtown Township. According to Newtown Township police, a man attempted to rob the TD Bank on West Road at 8:30 a.m. He was arrested without incident, police said. He presented a note to the teller that stated he had a weapon but he did not, police said.  This is a breaking story, check back to Patch for more details. FBI Seeks 'Armed Serial Bank Robber'

The FBI is seeking the public's help in finding a serial bank robber who they believe has robbed four area banks since June, including one in Wrightstown.

The man who robbed a Wrightstown bank in September is believed to be involved in at least three other similar robberies, according to information provided today by the FBI. Officials are asking the public’s help in finding the serial bank robber, who they say is armed and dangerous. In late September, a masked man stole approximately $7,000 from First Federal Bank in Wrightstown just before it closed one Friday evening. Officials say that same man is believed to be responsible for four robberies, the most recent of which occurred last month in Ambler at the PNC Bank on South Bethlehem Pike. Area Police Seeking Man Who Robbed Yardley Bank

At approximately 9:17 a.m. this morning, a man robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on Stony Hill Road. He is considered armed and dangerous, police said.

A Wells Fargo Bank in Yardley was robbed this morning. The Lower Makefield Township Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public's assistance to identify and locate the man responsible for the armed robbery. The crime occcured shortly after 9 a.m at the Wells Fargo Bank at 706 Stony Hill Rd, Yardley, police said. According to police, the subject entered the bank at 9:17 a.m. and threatened the teller with a gun.  After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank in an unknown direction.  The subject is described as a white male, 6'2" tall, 240 pounds, wearing a gray sweat suitwith the hood covering his head, a black ski mask (hole cut-outs in the eyes and mouth) and light green latex gloves, …

Looks like it may be the same guy (same build, height, weight) that robbed the First Federal in Wrightstown. Would be interesting to know if this guy taped the latex gloves around his wrists as well, just like the Wrightstown guy did. Either way since he keeps getting away with it he'll probably wait a bit, make up a new outfit, then go after another local bank that's away from busier towns where…   more ›

Police Still Investigating Wrightstown Bank Robbery

Approximately $7,000 was stolen from First Federal Bank in Wrightstown during a robbery in September.

Newtown Township Police continue to investigate a bank robbery that occurred in Wrightstown last fall. A masked man stole approximately $7,000 from First Federal Bank in Wrightstown just before it closed one Friday evening in late September.  Officials from the police department said detectives continue to investigate the case and are working with the FBI to find the suspect. According to police, the disguised suspect ordered employees into a back room and fled with the money. The suspect is described by police to be a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a hood, safety glasses, gloves and a dark business suit with a tie.  No one was injured in the robbery.

And how does the bank have no camera's outside to catch what kind of car he drives. 'Armed and Dangerous' Bank Robbery Suspect at Large

Police are seeking a white man who robbed a Wrightstown bank Friday evening while wearing a hood and safety glasses.

Police are seeking an “armed and dangerous” man who robbed a Wrightstown bank shortly before 7 p.m. Friday night. A surveillance camera inside the First Federal Bank, where the crime occurred, shows the suspect of the robbery as a hooded man wearing safety glasses, gloves and a dark business suit with a tie. He was carrying a duffle bag. According to police, the suspect is a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with a stocky build. According to police, the suspect ordered employees into a back room and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured in the robbery. Bank Robbery at First Federal in Wrightstown

The incident occurred this evening and required K9 units to the scene.

A bank robbery occurred at First Federal Bank in Wrightstown this evening around 7 p.m. No one was injured, according to police. According to information from the Breaking News Network, a person wearing a navy blue jacket and armed with a gun fled with an unknown amount of money. Newtown Township Police Department responded to the scene. Additional K9 units were called to the crime scene, the Breaking News Network said. According to its website, First Federal's Wrightstown branch is open until 7 p.m. Fridays.  Police did not provide additional information at the scene. However, a police department official later confirmed that no one was injured during the incident. Check back to Patch for updates.
