BCCC Public Book Club Announces Fall Titles

Bucks County Community College's Book Discussion Group, which college officials say is one of the longest running public book groups in the county, is open to all area residents. The next meeting is Oct. 13.

With the new school year comes the start of Bucks County Community College’s Book Discussion Group. The group, which college officials say is one of the longest running public book groups in the county, is open to all area residents. The club meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. during the academic year at the college’s Newtown campus. The next meeting is Oct. 13. Michael Hennessey, a BCCC literature professor who organizes the meetings, said the titles are selected through a democratic process. Yoga Studio Introduces Book Club

Yogasphere will discuss the memoir "Waking" at its first book club gathering Sunday, March 13.

Stretch your body and expand your mind later this month at Yogasphere’s inaugural book club gathering. Studio co-owner and yoga teacher Elle Kaplan will lead the event, which begins with a light yoga practice and continues with discussion of the memoir “Waking” by Matthew Sandford. The event is free and open to the public. The club will meet for the first time at 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 13 at Yogasphere. Kaplan said she envisions the book club to be an informal gathering that allows like-minded to people to get together, relax, and casually discuss inspirational books. “We’ll probably do a little informal stretching and take some time to settle in. I’m hoping when people get here, they’ll have a little tea and mingle,” Kaplan said. …
