  Gerard O’Malley announced Wednesday he will resign from Newtown Borough Council, just months after being reelected to his second term.  O’Malley, a democrat who works in the pharmaceutical industry, said a new position that comes with expanded duties, including international travel, will not provide him adequate time to dedicate to the borough.
