Popcorn Recalled For Possible Listeria Contamination

GIANT pulled Indiana white cheddar popcorn off its shelves after the recall was announced.

GIANT Food Stores and MARTIN’S Food Markets, following a recall by Dale & Thomas, announced it removed from sale ready-to-eat bags of Indiana white cheddar popcorn due to possible contamination by listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have been reported to date. Customers who have purchased Dale & Thomas Indiana white cheddar popcorn, UPC 84357100078, 9 oz. should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to GIANT/MARTIN’S for a full refund. Listeria is a common organism found in nature. Consumption of food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, an uncommon but potentially fatal disease.
